THE MOVING THUMBS

1-HITMAN. THE MYTH OF JOHN JACKSON

“Splendid. Like a sip of the best irish beer”
-Ray Winslow, ‘The Los Angeles Times’

“Farrell has finally founded the perfect character for him. Violent, dirty, show-off and cocky. I should hate him, but I can’t avoid loving him. So sexy! I have the feeling that there’s more to come from John Jackson and I’m looking forward to it”
-Lilly Stevens, ‘USA Today’

“Tony Scott has made a violent and thrilling movie. One of the best action movies I’ve seen for a long time. Paul Bettany should play all the villains in every movie that is ever made, as he is always perfect as the bad guy of the show. Patrick Stewart is a synonymous of quality acting. Keira is always a knock-out. And Farrel makes a hateful adorable hero”.
-Charlie McGowan, ‘Variety’

2-CHEVROLET

“Kasdan has taken the best from some of his previous movies like ‘The Big Chill’ and ‘Grand Canyon’ to make his best movie ever. Funny, moving, entertaining and melancholic. A masterpiece. Thumbs up to the sky”
-Bob Felton, ‘Entertainment Weekly’

“Here is an unforgettable movie about losers. A quartet of lost people trying to find a meaning to their lives. The old question about where we come from and where are we going is treated by Kasdan with the perfect doses of humour, tenderness, drama and romance. The road trip becomes a metaphor of life itself. There’s everything in it: fear, discovery, loneliness, relationships, pain and hope.”
-Robin Carson, ‘Hollywood Reporter’

“Tom Cruise makes an outstanding performance as a decadent playboy. Scarlett Johansson deserves all the praises with that perfect Ukrainian accent. Rosario Dawson makes a great vulnerable woman overwhelmed by the circumstances. And Will Smith is so funny and moving as a man obsessed with health and death. Kasdan has made one of the best road movies I’ve ever seen.”
-Jack Harrison, ‘People’

AWAITING RELEASE

1-CAPTAIN AMERICA VS SUPERMAN

Beside him, Captain America has again his darling girlfriend (K.Beckinsale) and his grumpy boss (A.Baldwin).

The Comment:
The sequel of ‘Captain America’ had a complicated production process. But it is finally here and the interaction between the two superheroes should be reason enough to fill all the theatres.

2-LOL

The Cast: Ben Stiller, Marisa Tomei, Merryl Streep, Hank Azaria, Kate Hudson

The Director: Nora Ephron

The Plot: Ben Stiller’s dates always end up in a disaster. Tyred of that, he decides to try meeting women only through a chat site. But, one day, she suddenly disappears, as she thinks that having a cyber relationship is weird. Ben wants to find her, so he starts looking for her in all kind of chat sites. In his search, he will contact and even meet personally Azaria, a chat freak that has not left his home in the last two years and whose only contact with the outside world is through the net, and Kate Hudson, who suffers double personality: she is a sweet and innocent girl but becomes the hottest dirtiest girl when connecting to the chats. With their help, Ben tries to find Marisa, while his mother (M.Streep) keeps pressing him to find a girl and get married. Ben finally finds Marisa and, from that moment, their relationship will have to go on in the real world…

The Comment:
A nice and sweet romantic comedy that should do well at the box office. CMP expects it to be the first ‘sleeper’ of the new season.

RUMOURS AND GOSSIPS – SPECIAL PICS GALLERY

As it happened before with Jessica Alba, once again some tabloids have edited a picture saying that it is CMP President Harry Stark the man having fun with 'Chevrolet' star Scarlett Johansson in the beach. Alice Dobson, Chief of CMP’s Press Office, has released the following press statement: ‘Harry Stark is a professional. He does not flirt with the stars of the Studio. Mrs. Johansson and Mr.Stark are only good friends.'

A different kind of premiere. ‘Chevrolet’ premiere was a peculiar event. Instead of a glamorous movie theatre, the premiere took place in an old big hangar of the Chevrolet company in North Dakota, where some of the scenes of the movie were shot. Tom Cruise and Will Smith attended to the premiere and the afterwards party.

Director’s reunion. As CMP’s Season 2 got to its end, the Studio organized a convention in Las Vegas with journalists, distributors and other movie professionals to talk about the development of the Company and the future plans for Season 3. As the main event of the convention, a few directors showed up to talk about their past and future projects with the Studio. Here are Robert Rodriguez (‘Dark Omens’), James Cameron (‘Deep Silence’), Robert Zemeckis (‘Happy Hamsters’) and George Lucas, who gave the big surprise oficially confirming that he will be the producer of the new CMP’s Star Wars movie.
