Jake falls his body dissapearing into darkness.
Eventually Roland makes his way through the mountains and soon comes face to face under a moonlit sky, but before killing him, the darkman reveals to him what the future holds, the drawing of the three will help him find the dark tower.

Stark’s Comment: Stephen King’s material is always a guarantee. I have the feeling that this one may work pretty well. At least, the Studio has no doubted to invest quite a bunch of money on this production. We expect it to be the beginning of a new franchise.
2-DAISY LANE
Thriller
The Cast: Daniel Radcliff, Pierce Brosnan, Catherine Z. Jones, William Moseley, Emma Thompson, Vinnie Jones
The Director: Danny Boyle
The Screenwriter and Producer: John Daws
The Plot: Tells the story of a young boy who eventually gets killed for his mobile phone outside his house in Daisy Lane in central london.
Keiron (Daniel Radcliff) a 16 year old boy was top of his class and getting ready for his exams. A bright student he was extremly intelligent and hard worker. He spent most of his time with best friend Mark Stewart (William Moesley) and they went about their business.
Never been in trouble with anyone before he started to notice a group of people hanging around the school and told his mother Antoinette (Emma Thompson) about it. She was worried and let the school know but no one seemed bothered about the problem and so everything remained how it was.
Keiron takes time off from school due to an upset stomach and on the day of this return his mother explains she is very busy and will not be able to pick him up. Meanwhile Mark has been getting abuse from one of the people outside the school. An older man who never reveals his name or face (Vinnie Jones) threatens him and follows him. Mark tells Keiron about this and they decide to walk home together. That night the three men led by the older man follow them and as they get to Keirons road they confront them wearing balaclavas. They take Keirons phone and a struggle begins. Keiron pulls of the older mans balaclava and throws Keiron against his wall and stabs Keiron. The other two men both stab him once each as well. Keiron is left dying on the floor. Mark calls the intercomm but no one answers. He calls an ambulance and they take away Keiron. His mother comes home but she finds a message on her answer phone. She rushes to the hospital but it is too late and he is D.O.A.
Police investigator Dave Little (Peirce Brosnan) heads up the enquiry into the men running from the scene. Clues left and the discription of a man with a heavy irish accent are taken into account and CCTV footage are checked.
When Dave gets home after two weeks of dead ends he finds a mobile phone posted in his letter box. He picks it up and a heavily irish accent speaks. He is told that he, his family and everyone he cares about are in danger if he does not drop the investigation. The phone is Keiron’s and checking ensues onto any evidence the phone may have.
He gets a lead of one number the phone called 10 minutes after the incident with Keiron. A number in Ireland which turns out to be an address of a known gangster. Upon reaching the house he finds no-one there. However files of many members of a huge operation and known locations are found.
When he returns raids take place of all memebers within a 3 mile radius of Kierons school and home.
He raids one man Douggy O'Brian and finds pictures and video footage of his family.
He rushes home and finds that his wife (Catherine Zeta Jones) is gone. A tape is played saying that if he does not drop the search then she will die.
His phone rings and he is told to meet him in a factory where all evidence will be swapped in return for his wife.
He goes with the evidence and hands it over. His wife is shot dead and he his then grabbed and stabbed three times.
The final scene shows all three men walking away with balaclavas over their faces.

Stark’s Comment: You all know CMP is not good with thrillers. For some reason, they usually work better at the DVD market than at box office. This British thriller looks as a difficult release to me. We can only wait and see… By the way, the movie is based on a true story.
3-VELCRO
Drama
The Cast: Frances McDormand, Kate Hudson, Elle Fanning, Chloe Moretz, Agnes Bruckner
The Director: Allison Anders
The Screenwriter: Josh Collins
The Plot: Lena (F.McDormand) is a grandmother. Her teen years (played by Agnes Bruckner) were spent growing up in the hippie era when it was natural for experimenting with drugs and believing in free love, communal living, and opposed conventional standards and customs of society. As the era slowly faded, she became pregnant out of wedlock and the father bailed on her. Once she had her baby her motherly instincts kicked in and she no longer wanted to be a part of that lifestyle. She spent most of Janis' early childhood (played by Elle Fanning) looking for a guy to step up to the plate and help her raise the child but many relationships failed.
She thought she found the right guy finally when Janis was around 8 or 9 but that relationship didn't quite work out when the kid was being repeatedly sexually violated for a couple of years until Lena finally discovered the problem and threw the guy out and had him arrested. It was too late. Janis was shattered into millions of pieces and she distanced herself from Lena. After all of these tragic encounters, Janis (K.Hudson) became this lost soul with a huge gaping hole where her heart used to be. She got involved with drugs, drinking, promiscuous habits and a hatred towards men. She became a stripper and an escort.
One of her escort clients beat her, raped her and robbed her. She got pregnant as a result and at first was going to have an abortion but found out the baby was a girl and decided to keep it. Her bad habits didn't quite go away during her pregnancy. She tried not to smoke, drink and do drugs but still did it in very light moderation. Once she had her baby it was back to the bad addictions again. Lena raised the baby to a point where she had enough of it and said Janis needs to step up and be a mother, but she's a horrible mother! Thanks to the light moderation of her drug habits, the child (C.Moretz) is now living with some defects and learning disabilities.
Since she spent most of her money on drugs, she really could barely afford to raise her and her kid and they were evicted from her apartment for not paying the rent. Lena does the noble deed in allowing her Janis and granddaughter to stay with her. She said it's for the sake of the child.
Once again this really doesn't wake the kid's mom up that much. Now that she has a live-in babysitter, what's the point of sticking around when she could beout. By this time, the kid is 8, old enough and smart enough to realize Janis just isn't there for her, but Lena is. One incident that causes a small shout fest between Janis and Lena is when the kid says 'goodnight' to Lena, gives her hugs and kisses and doesn't even acknowledge Janis. Janis doesn't come to the events where her daughter would like her to be, but when Janis misses her 9th birthday, the kid just about had it with her mom's immaturity.
And one event that sparks the big turnaround for the Janis is when Lena won't watch the kid while she went out and did things, she decided to take her daughter along. She got clearance to bring her daughter as long as she kept her eyes covered and stayed backstage. She didn't. Nobody was watching her backstage when her Janis was on and she wandered around, looking at these strippers in their costumes, counting their cash, etc. She happened to catch a glimpse through a curtain of her mother on stage stripping while men hooted and hollered at her.
After that it became monkey-see, monkey-do, she was up in her room with a male friend and doing a little strip show(nothing too graphic shown of course) when Janis came home. She opened the door and saw her daughter in an awkward manner.
It was then she really realized she was paving the way for her daughter's future. And when she saw her little girl putting on some striptease for a boy, she was shooting her girl down the wrong path. She realized who she is affecting by doing the things she does, and it's not herself. Must learn to overcome all of those obstacles for the sake of her kid, get a better job, stop the drugs, be in her daughter's life (which is a bit tough seeing as how her daughter and her don't have a good relationship to start with), and Janis and Lena burying the hatchet.
Of course it can't be all done in a day, and it shows in this story how difficult it is to change a lifestyle overnight when it's been yours for as long as you could remember. It's about making the right choices for your children and how those choices can affect your relationship with them and how you raise them really determines how they turn out. It's about a woman who gave up too soon in life due to a tragedy and her journey to get back in the game.

Stark’s Comment: New drama from Collins. As in ‘Lyra’, he turns his eyes again to women’s universe. The most ‘feminine’ movie ever released by CMP. It has an obvious audience target. If women respond to this women’s story it might work in box office. Anyway, one of those productions seeking to increase the Studio’s prestige.
MOVIES IN DEVELOPMENT

A HORSE WITH NO NAME: One of the Fantastic Four, Chris Evans, makes his debut in CMP as Lebouf’s friend in this one. Mimi Leder is directing this tender story about two friends travelling with a horse written by Ted Froats.
CAPTAIN PLANET: Chiwetel Ejiofor will make a brief appearance in this Ben Tyler’s movie. That

CHRYSALIS: PENNIES FROM HELL: Harry Stark has admitted he is so happy to have convinced David Fincher (‘Saving Samantha Moss’) to direct this movie. Fincher joins the growing list of directors that have been involved in the Wild Cards’ saga (Bay, Tarantino, McG, Aja…) and, as others, he has stated that the main reason to accept the offer was that he is a big fan of the previous movies of the franchise. Also, Tim Roth, not seen in CMP since the flop of ‘Sam & Twitch’, has been confirmed to play Hiram Worchester, said to be the main character of the story.

THE SEX MONSTER: The sexy Megan Fox joins the cast in her debut for CMP as one of the sex objectives of Basinger. Other cast members confirmed are Thomas Curtis and Hallie Kate Eisenberg (‘Powerhouse’), playing Basinger and Travolta’s kids. And finally it will be Tim Robbins who will make a cameo as a local priest after Robin Williams refused to do it.
1066: Here comes one of those productions where everything related to it can be defined as ‘big’.

ATLANTIS: A trio of veteran actors complete the cast of the Steven Spielberg’s adventure. Donald Sutherland (last time seen was ‘The Grotto’), Tommy Lee Jones (seen past Season in ‘Omega’) and Christopher Walken (who appeared past Season in ‘Schroedinger’s Litterbox’) are now working here under Spielberg’s instructions.
BLACK GUYS: Whoopi Goldberg finally appears in a CMP’s pitch. She

ONE MAN’S HELL: Tim Burton and Nicholas Cage worked together in CMP’s ‘Captain America vs Superman’. Now, they are going to work together again in this horror supernatural story about a man trying to distinguish between reality and madness. The screenplay has been written by David Makalaster and Cage is considering the option of becoming also the producer of the film as he did in this Season’s blockbuster ‘Faction 12’.
SPECIAL ARTICLE: HEROINS OF CMP
By Stephanie Steven
It's not uncommon for a female to take on supporting or love interests in any film, and CMP doesn't usually break that trend. Sure those women are put in the films to be nice to look at eye candy, but little chance do women get to shine in a CMP leading role or a role where the plot centers around a girl character. Keira Knightly may have been nominated for best actress in Pompeii, but it was still Leonardo's film. And sure there are several CMP films that have the lead actor and actress as equals, take Bradley's 'Man in the Mirror' with Giamati and Winslet, or Dream of a King with Fishburne and Bassett, but it's still a rarity for a female to have a CMP film she can proudly call her own.
That is until this season with a decent number of screen heroines filling the lead spot. Charlize Theron was a vengeful newlywed widow and now,

Both roles and films have GMA nominations all over it, only question is, who gets the noms this season? It's nice to see after that embarrassing "comedy" Super Bowl, Josh Collins has shown us that he hasn't gone soft and can do more than 'choral dramas' to tell an interesting story.
While CMP continues to grow, I get the feeling we'll be seeing more actresses with a story centered around them, and I certainly hope we females can prove that we're more than just eye candy.

INTERVIEW: DAVID MAKALASTER
He made his debut past Season with three very different movies: 'Little Tin Goddess', ‘The Holders’ and 'The Metal'. This Season, he has been the author until now of 'Together Apart' and '3's and 7's'. But, more than that, he has also made a wonderful job creating CMMDB, the complete CMP's movies data base. And all that is reason enough to make this interview and know more about this new CMP's author.
First, let's talk about CMMBD. Where did the idea of making CMMDB came from?
To be honest, I don't actually remember. I think it was somewhere along the line that I thought "Putting together a cast would be so much easier if I could list what movies the talents have worked in before, and how they did". I get into kind of "programming grooves" that last for some odd weeks where I'm just itching for projects and those two events happily coincided.
It must have been a hard work...
Well, parts of it, yeah. Because CMP had already been running for a few seasons by the time I started up, I had some back catalogue of movies and talents to work through. That was the hardest part, not the coding, which is really just small changes at a time wherever I feel is needed. Also, some tiresome issues are introduced involuntarily, like half the talents havingtheir birth date set to December 31st 1969 when I botched the export script while switching server host...Yeah, that didn't sound nerdy at all... Some upcoming features also will be a chore to implement, but so totally worth it.
How do you feel after two Seasons working for CMP as screenwriter?
Brilliant! I love this job, I really do. There's something about seeing an idea come to fruition like it does in CMP that I'm just hooked on. Seeing Little Tin Goddess go from an unfinished pitch on my hard drive (which it had been since well before the hiatus) to an, at least somewhat liked by critics, actual movie was heartwarming to say the least.
What do you dream as screenwriter: develop blockbusters, winning awards, becoming a critics’ favourite?
All of the above? Haha, seriously though, all three have their appeal of course, but I write more for the chance of letting off some creative steam. If I get an idea into my head, I'll just get annoyed with

I know 'Little Tin Goddess' was a disappointing experience. Do you have the feeling that it was mistreated or misunderstood by audiences and critics?
It missed the target but only by a foot, so to speak. My original vision was a movie portraying a man driven insane and creating imaginary friends because of his loneliness, not really a New Millennium "Mannequin". But I still like the way it turned out. Lynch created the slightly twisted world I had hoped and I don't mean to brag, but I made the perfect choice putting Buscemi in the lead role, haha. Oh yeah, and then there's Ashanti.. In retrospect, not a good choice. I was a rookie screenwriter and just looking for that right 'exotic' quality I wanted for the goddess, not looking enough at actress qualities.
'Together Apart' was based on a true story, right? Was it autobiographical?
Yes, actually. It pretty accurately depicts how I met my fiancee and some hurdles that were put up because of mainly the distance. We still live like 500 km apart, but we make the best of the circumstances. You can read the rest in the tabloids, haha.
Have you considered developing a sequel for the funny 'The Metal'?

Oh yes, most definitely. I am already actually, and I hope the gang will agree to return once more. I can only reveal two things about it so far: It will focus more on it's *musical* aspect than part one( A'la Only In America, yes, but that was an awesome movie so how is that a bad thing? Haha..) and Napalm Bath might just get their big break, finally...
How was it working with Tarantino in '3's and 7's'?
It was... Interesting. He's a quirky director, but he knows how to move the camera, as some reviewer so elegantly put it. Actually, I don't know what would've happened if Quentin hadn't been available, the movie was written especially for him to direct. I'm a big fan of his, and I wanted to give him a chance to "return to form" after Kill Bill, which I personally disliked. As for the actual shooting, it was pure GLAMOUR. Except for when we were shooting on the outskirts of Vegas, we were tearing up the place. (Inside scoop: Quentin and Orlando are party machines)Also, as an unfortunate side effect, I'm no longer welcome in Circus Circus.I won't comment any further on that than responding to The Globe by saying "Well, if they didn't put such things in the men's room we would all be better off!".
Tell us something about your future projects.
As I said before, a sequel to "The Metal" is in the works, though very early in development. Hmm, can I talk about projects that have been submitted to CMP? Ah,heck I'm doing it anyway, I'm a rebel! There's "Maleficarum", a dark drama about witch trials in the 1590's. Also, there is "One Man’s Hell", a look at the world from the eyes of an insane man. Lastly, the license to little known X-

And now an obliged question: what are your favourites CMP's movies besides yours? Who are your favourite screenwriters?
Ouch, save the hardest question for last,eh? I always like the "Last Lawman" movies. Western meets post-apocalypse is an appealing concept to me. I won't answer that last question, but not out of political correctness. Name a CMP writer and I can name at the very least one movie by them I genuinely liked, even if in some cases there are only 1-2 movies to choose from.
Thanx, Mr. Makalaster!
PIC OF THE WEEK
The imminent release of ‘The Dark Tower’, starred by Russell Crowe, and ‘Velcro’, starred by Kate Hudson, has taken magazine ‘Vanity Fair’ to make a cool photo session with both stars together. Here is a sexy pic from the illustrated report.

A LOOK AT… GMA’S AWARDED ACTRESSES
With the release of ‘Lyra’ and ‘Velcro’ it seems like CMP – or at least Josh Collis – has turned the eyes to women. Probably, this seventh CMP’s Season can be defined as Women Season. Some very interesting female roles have been developed this Season. But actresses have always fought to shine in CMP. As a tribute to all of them, this week we remember the female’s performances recognized in the GMA’s Best Actress and Best Supporting Actress categories.
SUSAN SARANDON
It was… Deadly Sins – Best Supporting Actress, Season 1
She was… The lover of a rabbi (Robin Williams) accused of killing his wife.
She became… not very active in CMP (the curse of Hollywood’s actresses over 40, you know) but this Season Susan has brilliantly co-starred the quality western ‘Fortune City’.
NICOLE KIDMAN

It was… The Heirs – Best Actress, Season 1
She was… The lover of mob family’s head Robert De Niro (and true love of his son, Sean Penn).
She became… forgotten by CMP’s authors. Nicole has resurrected this Season starring the blockbuster ‘Faction 12’.
CHARLIZE THERON
It was… Cathedral – Best Supporting Actress, Season 2
She was… The wife of a man (R.Crowe) obsessed with his plan of building a cathedral in the middle of Africa.
She became… one of the most prestigious talents in CMP. Charlize escapes of being typecast accepting all kind of roles, from comedy (‘Lieutenant USA’) to violent horror (‘Damnation Road’).
CATHERINE Z. JONES
It was… Fools Game – Best Actress, Season 2
She was… the bored wife of the millionaire Michael Douglas, with whom she also won the GMA for Best Starring Couple, in an eccentric and acclaimed comedy.
She became… the main character of Marcus Trax’s Star Wars Trilogy, moving in and out of the Dark Side. This Season, we have seen her in ‘The Misadventures of Harry Flashman’ and the upcoming thriller ‘Daisy Lane’.
SHARON STONE
It was… Wild Cards: Aces High – Best Supporting Actress, Season 3
She was… The wife of the presidential candidate played by John Travolta, decided to kill him for the good of mankind.
She became… quite a regular in CMP. Last Season, she starred ‘The Towering Inferno’. This Season, Sharon plays the main female role in this week’s release ‘The Dark Tower’.
JENNIFER CONNELLY

It was… Smoke Signals – Best Actress, Season 3
She was… A smoke addict trying to overcome the death of a boyfriend in this little and prestigious first production of the Mamet / Depp / Trax team.
She became… a demanded talent in both big productions (‘The Guardians’) and small budget quality films (‘Three Wooden Crosses’). She seems a little forgotten lately by CMP’s authors.
DAKOTA FANNING
It was… Carousel – Best Supporting Actress, Season 4
She was… Carrey and Danes’ daughter in the acclaimed and multi-awarded Sam Mendes / Ted Froats’ musical.
She became… CMP’s favourite child star. Almost inevitable in every movie that needed a girl. But it seems lately like her throne may have been taken by other young stars like Abigail Breslin, Taylor Dooley or even her sister Elle.
CLAIRE DANES

It was… Carousel – Best Actress, Season 4
She was… The star of the moment thanks to this musical and her work in the legendary saga of ‘The Great War Series’
She became… too suddenly forgotten (see our ‘Pepper’ section past week).
WINONA RYDER
It was… An American Stroll – Best Supporting Actress, Season 5
She was… an adorable deaf and dumb loved by Tobey Maguire.
She became… resurrected for the industry thanks to CMP. Her work in the ‘Cell Mates’ movies may keep her active if the third episode is finally produced.
GONG LI

It was… Nagasaki Daydreams – Best Actress, Season 5
She was… the loving wife of Chow Yun-Fat
She became… as in that movie, it seems like Ziyi Zhang, who played her husband’s lover there, is luckier than her, as all asian female characters are offered lately to Zhang and none to her.
IVANA BAQUERO
It was… Blink – Best Supporting Actress, Season 6
She was… the best friend of the abused and murdered girl and the daughter of the murderer.
She became… an acclaimed winner of the GMA. Future will tell if that’s the beginning of a regular career in CMP or not.
KATE WINSLET
It was… Man In The Mirror – Best Actress, Season 6
She was… the presumed twin soul of Paul Giamatti so opposite to him.
She became… and already was before the award, one of the most demanded CMP’s stars and, specially, the muse of James Bradley.

TALK OF THE TOWN
Future of Darkman? After the correct box office’s breakdown of the fourth episode of the saga, it

Future of Flashman? Yes, there’s future for Flashy. The wonderful box office of the movie has convinced James Bradley to go on with the saga. Although there are twelve Flashman’s books, Bradley pretends to develop only two or three more Flashman’s adventures.
Future of Hitman? Although a fifth movie of the franchise is confirmed (a story that will take place

And an unexpected return. ‘Nathan Zachary and Drake’s Gold’, based on the pc games ‘Crimson Skies’, was meant to be the beginning of a new CMP’s saga. But the sudden retirement of its author, Jack Hammer, frustrated those plans. Now, the character may be resurrected. Ben Tyler has expressed Harry Stark his will of writing a screenplay that would retake the franchise.
We said from the beginning that this was meant to be the sexiest CMP’s Season. Nude scenes in

CMP has almost closed its production schedule for Season 8. Once again, more than a dozen screenwriters will be working for the Studio. Next Season will be again a Sequelmania Season, as Harry Stark has confirmed than no less than nine of its thirty movies may be a sequel. Isn’t that too much?
And a new link added to this blog (see up there, at your right). Now, with just a click, you can jump from here not only to the ‘Hollywood Mogul’ website but also to the useful and appealing site of CMMDB (Crazy Moon Movies Data Base) to know it all about our beloved Studio.
